| Abstrak | : | Rapid social changes result from the impacts ofindustrialization and globalization, each ofwhich influences the changes in behavior of individual members of society. Youth can easily be influenced by these changes because they are not stable and are still in the process of seeking to form their personalities and to establish their social roles. Youth are confronted with the modern living environment in addition to adaptatingto the developmental process. Development stressing merely economic sectors will cause the negative impacts on individual behavior such as deviant behavior and psychopathology. Modern society is also closely connected with the process of anomie or fading norms of behavior. This anomie condition results in youth's confusion in seeking to find the models to behave. This will possibly lead to deviant behavior such as violence and sadism. In the global situation, there is a trend of a global life style by which the youth can easily be influenced and be involved in the mass culture which is contrary to cultural values of the Indonesian society. There are several key factors which are expected to be able to equip them in the process of adaptation to social changes in modern life, namely family and religion. The families whose values and functions are considered to have degraded need to seriously teach their youth about good conducts oflife. There has been a tendency for people to go back to religion because they are disappointed and hope to live peacefully in the modern life. In addition there is proof that religious approach can cure deviant behavior in modern life. |

They cannot be separated from each other because justice which has been realized is colored with the truth. Judges can make mistakes in giving verdicts because there may be some facts that have not been revealed in the court.
