| Abstrak | : | After performing a randomized experiment, researchers often use ordinary least-square (OLS) regression to adjust for baseline covariates when estimating the average treatment effect. It is widely known that the resulting confidence interval is valid even if the linear model is misspecified. In this article, we generalize that conclusion to covariate adjustment with nonlinear models. We introduce an intuitive way to use any “simple” nonlinear model to construct a covariate-adjusted confidence interval for the average treatment effect. The confidence interval derives its validity from randomization alone, and when nonlinear models fit the data better than linear models, it is narrower than the usual interval from OLS adjustment. |

| Abstrak | : | The current problem of solar energy water distillation is in its low efficiency. Low efficiency is caused by inefficient water evaporation processes. Increasing the efficiency of water evaporation is done by controlling the rate of water entering into the absorber. The commonly used mechanical control system sti II has weaknesses such as the instability of the water entering the absorber. This causes less effective evaporation of water so that the resulting distillation ef f iciency is not optimal. The water rate input system for distillation in this study is based on a simple microcontroller. The microcontroller-based input water rate control system allows the rate of input water with a small but continuous flow rate so that the water evaporation process can be more ef fective. This study aims to improve the efficiency of solar energy water distillation by increasing the ef f iciency of the water evaporation process through controlling the flow rate of water inlet. The research was carried out by the experimental method. The parameters varied were: the rate of input water which was 0.3 l/hour, 0.5 l/hour and 1.2 l/hour. Parameters measured in this study were: (1) temperature of absorber, (2) temperature of the cover glass, (3)temperature of cooling water, (4) input water temperature, (5) ambient air•temperature, (6) distilled water results, (7) solar energy coming in and (8) time of recording data. The results showed that the production of distillation water using microcontroller-based water rate control was a maximum of 523% compared to the model without water rate control at a water flow rate of 0.3 liters / hour, with distillation efficiency of 66%. From the results of this study it can also be concluded that microcontroller based water flow rate controller is more stable than mechanical water flow controller, especially in small flow. |

| Abstrak | : | In model checking for regressions, nonparametric estimation-based tests usually have tractable limiting null distributions and are sensitive to oscillating alternative models, but suffer from the curse of dimensionality. In contrast, empirical process-based tests can, at the fastest possible rate, detect local alternatives distinct from the null model, yet are less sensitive to oscillating alternatives and rely on Monte Carlo approximation for critical value determination, which is costly in computation. We propose an adaptive-to-model hybrid of moment and conditional moment-based tests to fully inherit the merits of these two types of tests and avoid the shortcomings. Further, such a hybrid makes nonparametric estimation-based tests, under the alternatives, also share the merits of existing empirical process-based tests. The methodology can be readily applied to other kinds of data and construction of other hybrids. As a by-product in sufficient dimension reduction field, a study on residual-related central mean subspace and central subspace for model adaptation is devoted to showing when alternative models can be indicated and when cannot. Numerical studies are conducted to verify the powerfulness of the proposed test. |

| Abstrak | : | This paper presents the results of the motion therapy device Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) Machine which is applied to the shoulder joint with storage movement. The process of joint rehabilitation is carried out by continuous passive movements. This movement is intended not to overload the work of the muscles and there is no stiffness in the joints after surgery or stroke patients or patients who have carried out immobilization for quite a long time. The CPM Machine developed can move flexion and horizontal abduction. The position storage in this tool is carried out in a range of movements in flexion and horizontal abduction. With the storage of movement can be done movement/therapy exercises in patients with joint stiffness can be done passively and continuously. |

| Abstrak | : | Statistical models that generate predicted random effects are widely used to evaluate the performance of and rank patients, physicians, hospitals and health plans from longitudinal and clustered data. Predicted random effects have been proven to outperform treating clusters as fixed effects (essentially a categorical predictor variable) and using standard regression models, on average. These predicted random effects are often used to identify extreme or outlying values, such as poorly performing hospitals or patients with rapid declines in their health. When interest focuses on the extremes rather than performance on average, there has been no systematic investigation of best approaches. We develop novel methods for prediction of extreme values, evaluate their performance, and illustrate their application using data from the Osteoarthritis Initiative to predict walking speed in older adults. The new methods substantially outperform standard random and fixed-effects approaches for extreme values. |

| Abstrak | : | Differential privacy is a privacy scheme in which a database is modified such that each user's personal data are protected without affecting significantly the characteristics of the whole data. Example of such mechanism is Randomized Aggregatable Privacy-Preserving Ordinal Response (RAPPOR). Later it is f ound that the interpretations of privacy, accuracy and utility parameters in differential privacy are not totally clear. Therefore in this article an alternative definition of privacy aspect are proposed, where they are measured in term of Shannon entropy. Here Shannon entropy can be interpreted as number of binary questions an aggregator needs to ask in order to learn information f rom a modified database. Then privacy leakage of a dif ferentially private mechanism is defined as mutual information between original distribution of an attribute in a database and its modified version. Furthermore, some simulations using the MATLAB sof tware for special cases in RAPPOR are also presented to show that this alter native definition does make sense. |

| Abstrak | : | A Distributional (Single) Index Model (DIM) is a semiparametric model for distributional regression, that is, estimation of conditional distributions given covariates. The method is a combination of classical single-index models for the estimation of the conditional mean of a response given covariates, and isotonic distributional regression. The model for the index is parametric, whereas the conditional distributions are estimated nonparametrically under a stochastic ordering constraint. We show consistency of our estimators and apply them to a highly challenging dataset on the length of stay (LoS) of patients in intensive care units. We use the model to provide skillful and calibrated probabilistic predictions for the LoS of individual patients, which outperform the available methods in the literature. |
