| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The aim of this article is to describe the origins and the development of an essential element of our faith today: the prophetic dimension. The message of the prophets must be understood against the background of the work of the Yahwist and its basic categories of , > and . The Major prophets proclaim God`s faithfulness to his promise; they remind the people of the demands of the Covenant; they foretell future salvation, while reamaining close to the and the poor of Yahweh. In the course of time, the phenomenon of prophecy in the Jewish scriptures witnesses to a gradual intertwining of these three theological perspectives: the prophets speak more and more in solidarity with the poor and the oppressed because Yahweh is the God of the promise, of liberation, and of the covenant. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Communit discernment has become a regular practice in many Christian communities. This article shows its nature and demands. In daily life there are choice which people have to make because they belong to a certain type of community. These choices are made by each individual, but they are nevertheless choices of the whole community. Community discernment deals precisely with what constitutes the group as a community, and a community with a mission. One could therefore prefer to speak of . We can distinguish for steps: * to discover precisely the of the discernment; * the sharing of opinions and viewpoints; * exchange and discussion; * recognitions of the call of God and implementation. Nedless to say, the working out of these four steps is not always easy. It is already difficult in a personal discernment. The superior or the one-in-charge makes sure of the spiritual authenticity of the process; he sees to it that no one is rejected and that the link with the Church and the apostolic body is kept. Community discernement is not just a new fad. It is an answer to a spiritual need: to be attentive to the signs of the times under the guidance of the spirit in order t take up a Christ-given mission in the world. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | This article underlies the link between faith and day to day life. Faith is not so much a set of religious practices, a pass giving access to eternal life but it concerns our life in this world. Faith is not so much a set of religious practices, a pass giving access to eternal life but it concerns our life in this world. Faith is described as an ongoing : * an invitation by God to go forward, to leave one`s security and comfort, to be led by the Spirit; * man`s response, through the building of new relaitonships, the assuming of his responsibilities, the creation of a new world; * God is present at each step, always inviting man to the fullness of life. Thus faith is not just the intellectual acceptance of revealed truths; it is not the expectation that God will solve our difficulties and problems; it is not the observance of religious practices. Faith is answering the call of God as he invited us to the fullness of life, an invitation to make this world more human, close to the Kingdom. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | To evangelize is to bring the Good News of gratuitousness as much as to make God`s love visible. How to do this in a developed society characterized by the culture of individualism? Individualism, as analysed by Tocqueville, is a refusal of the , a turning inwards to family and kind, a non-political middle class attitude. In a techno-bureaucratic society which is more and more complex, people often feel frustated, powerless; they are tempted to take refuge in family relations, personal charity, individual fulfilment. To proclaim the Good Friday purification, in order to proclaim the hope of the Resurrection. It s also to help people out of their isolation, to resist all exclusion, to make people discover that they are not just anonymous numbers but members of God`s people. The value of the individual person is something which no one in the West would today deny or reject. It is indeed possible to proclaim the message of Christ and, at the same time, recognize the values of individualism. Individualism in an opportunity for Christian faith as well as a challenge. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The article describes the two-fold evolution and present aim of the Lenten Caompaigns: to put into practice the Gospel values of sharing and solidarity while analysing correctly and objectively the situation of underdevelopment and appresion. The Lenten Campaigns are organised bby the Churches, on the basis of the Gospel message and in line with the recent Encyclical. A new emphasis is being placed today on close collaboation with Christians and representatives from the Third World, on discussion with the people concerned at the local level and also an analysis of the world economic situation. The manner of sensitizing the people has also changed: not just an appeal to help and for charity but a firm conviction that solidarity is an essential dimension of faith, that Lent is a privileged moment to rediscover and put into practice that dimension. The Lenten Campaigns and similar actions have regularly been accused of being political, of playing the game of the communist, of promoting violence, all this wich absolutely no foundation. They simply try to follow and put into practice the mainstream tradition of catholic social teaching, as recently confirmed by the last encyclical, Sollicitudo Rei Socialis. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Can happiness, and not only reason , lead us to believe in God? Such is the focus of this article. With great insight, the author gives us elements which can lead to such a proof: happiness of creation, happiness of God, human happiness, personal happiness. Does all this prove the existence of God? Perhaps not! But it has helped us to enter into a universe of Christian faith which we so easily misunderstand: humanity is destined for happiness and God is no stranger to what he willed for his creation. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | A recent Synod of the reformed Church of France (Nimes, May 8-10, 1987), dealt with catechesis. The topic was never discussed at that level before and was taken up after extensive preparation. A survey revealed the general concern of the people, a great variety of methods and content, less success than was generally believed but a renewed consciousness that something can and should be done to share out faith in Jesus-Christ. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Basing his reflection on Marcel Gauchet`s work, Le desenchantement du monde, the author wonders if it still possible to organise a project of collective liberation and to express coherece between the theory and the practice of faith. He deals with there aspects: the present situation of the working-class, the philosophical and theological basis for the transformation of the world and the possible contribution of faith. |
