| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Those who accept the belief in transmigration hold many different views on the relationships between humankind and animals. The religious traditions of India tend to multiply associations, physical as well as psychic, of humans with animals; in the long run, people find it normal that humans can be born again as animals if they have led an evil life. The interest in reincarnation in the XIX th century was started in the name of a radical rupture with the animal world considered as definitely inferior to human beings; in view of the law of progress, humankind is assured it will not incarnate itself in a being that has been overtaken long ago. The end of the XXth century attempts to reformulate the relationship between humans and animals; they are as it were brothers who go along on parallel routes, with whom one can communicate, and who in some cases may even have gone further on the way towards perfection. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | It is quite common nowadays to denounce the anthropocentricity underlying Judaeo-Christian culture and western philosophy. One of its supposed consequences would be that animals have been reduced to mere commodities to be exploited for the benefit of humankind. Basing itself on the example of Aristotle and descartes, the article shows that a philosophical doctrine which is anthroposcentric does not generate disregard for the animals and that in Christian terms the distinction between human beings and animals is founded on the wish to uphold the immoritality of the human soul. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The author, a brd-watcher since childhood, later ordained a priest, tells about the feelings genarated by his encounter with nature and his knowledge of wildlife. First of all, admiration of the beauty of the living world. This follows the Biblical tradition and the teaching of many Saints which see in creation a reflection of God`s own beauty. Giving numerous examples of similarities between the behaviour of the birds and human behaviour, the author invites the reader to acknowledge the animal roots of some of our actions and to draw lessons of humanity and humour. He reminds us that the discovery of the beaaauties and marvels of wildlife requires listening capacity and attentiveness: great truths are communicated only in silence. He finally rejoices about the explicit, though belated, teaching of the Church regarding the care of the environment and the respect for life in all its forms. |

Two questions guide the authors in their enquiry: -What are the consequences of the new electronic world for the quest of meaning and for religion in the near future? -What are the consequences and fall out of Internet and new technologies for teaching and education, mainly in the field of religion, how to prepare ourselves? Regarding the use of educational and religious resources on the Interet, four broad categories are given: Internet as a reference tool for information; internet as a help for educational needs; Internet as a source for class material; Internet as a tool for (collective) learning. Where will all this lead us? Before discussion, Conclude the authors, let us first join the cyberspace. |

Struck by this assertion, the author tries to answer three questions-from the catechetical context of chile: should faith edcation pay less attention to the researches and insights of pedagogy?; should one consder catechetical methodology as secondary?; what light on this topic ca be gained from the ecclesical context? A positive critique is made of some features and discoveries of pedagogy in the field of faith education which give methodology its proper place; a basic prerequisite to the discussion is to operate a change in the global schema of evangelization as put forward in some official circles. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | In the Christian, especially Catholic, instrumental music has no relevance for religious education. religious education proposes a kind of competence which-on the basis of religious tradition-enables the student to deal with fundamental questions. At different levels, instrumental music has something to contribute: its formal diversity helps to decipher forms as signs; because of its semantic indeterminateness it offers multiple and open interpretation; the great variety of its effects may sensitize to models of new catechetical practices. Three short examples show how instrumental music can be integrated in religious education. |

Modern cinema which can be an important resource for catechesis is surely to be included among these places. The topic is discussed in the form of five theses: - Feelings generated by feature films, and not only in what is considered authentic of higher, express what really touches people. - The aesthetic aspect of the cinema can be a platform for the experience of transcendence. - No other art form can lead to a reflection on time as constitutive of human existece as much as cinema. - For a catechesis which aims to responds to the trends of the modern world there is no better place than the celluloid. - The themes, art forms and experiences of the religious domain which are in exile in the secular realm lead to a renewed self understanding of the Christian faith. Pastoral work shouold give cinema its place. Films can be used in a direct and pragmatic manner, especially in adult faith formation. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | while reviewing the articles of this issue, the author underlines three basic forms of faith inculturation. The first form will be insertion into a determined cultural situation, without refusing, occasionally, to denounce cutural ideologies and practices which are unworthy of humankind. Faith inculturation means to venture into conflicts and, in the name of the Gospel, to promote cultural changes towards more humanity. The second form of inculturation would be to multiply alliances between faith and culture, its values, its theories, its productions and media. What is at stake is to make faith culturally possible, understandable, and desirable; on the other hand, there is a need to make culture hospitable for religious faith. The third form of faith inculturation comes from the secular world itself when religious themes and motives in cultural products (e.g. Cinema) with a vigur and authenticity which can astonish the world and the Christian themselves. There are forms of re-evangelization of Christianity by the culturae of the secular world. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The article describes ``catechese de cheminement`` or ongoing catechesis in a Brussels parish. Such a catechesis is really a manner to live one`s Christian faith in a spontaneous and permanent way, mainly by discovering the richness of the Bible and through community undertakings. It is open to all, in full freedom and for all walks of life: adults, children, youth, pastors. It is not exclusively concerned with sacraments, nor is it meant for children and youth alone. It is lived in a great variety and a good number of encouters, meetings, techniques and workshoops. The article presents first the raison d`etre of such a community catechesis and gives the underlying spirit before providing a detailed presentation of the practical ways of going about. |
