| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The spirist practice of the ``talking glass`` is fashionable among youth. Generally disconnected from spiritism as a doctrine, it can nevertheless lead to a more or less explicit belief in paranormal phenomena and induce an alienating spiritualist project. The first task of educator is to make the young narrate their experience by asking questions in such a way that feelings, desires, complicities will be ``objectified`` and subtle mechanisms made apparent. This can be amusing, as if one is playing a kind of detective game. Even more so if one tells (or better sees) tricks used by magicians who at times play the role of the medium to create illuusion full of resources and contrivances. You can show the need and the desire to communicate, and underline the role of words-words of human beings and Word of God-in order to communicate in a genuine fashion, which buils up the people of flesh and spirit which we are. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The author starts with a question: how do Christians perceive the reality of God`s fatherhood in Africa today? His hypothesis is that the idea of God as Father is ambivalent for it has kept Christians in an attitude of childichness and dependence towards God. Christians spend entire days praying to God and expecting everything from him, as manna from heaven. Jesus` filial attitude towards the Father is fundamentally rooted in a practice of liberation for humankind. There Jesus truly manifests himself as son of God. Psychology helps us to link human growth and faith in God. In the light of such remarks, it belongs to the Churches to translate the image of God the Father into a language meaningful for today`s Africa, so that we can witness its relevance for daily liife. Indeed, a real challenge. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Catholic women who take part in the liturgy experience that God is given exclusively male names. This linguistic usage implies that woman`s resemblance to God (cf Gn 1:27-28) is ignored. In this way, women can hardly develop a sense of personal worth and likeness to God. This negative result is strengthened by the fact that male names and images for God match a subordinate position of woman in the Church (cf. c. 1024 CIC) or are reflected in it. This situation takes root in the patriarcal social structure of Ancient Israel .Yet through the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus, a new interpretation of the title Father is attributed to God. In liturgical language, one has not yet realised the full consequences of this doctrine confirmed in Gal 3:28 (>). In order to adequately express in the liturgy the resemblance of womean to God and her nature of child of God in Christ, the male God talk must be superseded and we must use divine names and images which are feminine, human, inclusive. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Christians have to face the demands and challenges of contemporary culture: the advancement of science and technology genarates fascination, concern and deception; transcendence is reduced to the immanence of freedom; the denial of culpability leads to the refusal of forgiveness. It is all the more urent to underline the features which are characteristic of a living faith in God, Father and Creator: the Father as revealed by the son; the coming of his Kingdom and his creative power which find fulfilment in the world in and through human freedom. In religious education and catechesis, speaking about God and speaking to God should be articulated in a sensible language which meets the search for truth and the thrust for transcendence inscribed in the heart of humankind. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | In the biblical tradition, the name expresses the essence. In the three names of God-El, YHWH, Abba-, we can discover not only three different theologies but also three different aspects of divine revelation. El Shaddai is the name that the pre-Israelite traditions gave to the highest sacred power. El Shaddai assumes blind violence and is particularly manifested in thunder and strom. YHWH is the God of the Covenant. For his people when they follow his laws, he is like a mother. On the other hand, towards his enemies, he can be terrible and redoubtable. Abba is first of all the name of the God of Jesus Christ. He is a God close t hand and non-violent. An understanding of the Bible which is historical and dynamic invites us in turn to follow the path of biblical revelation. On the way, one can discover parallels between the struggle towards a better understanding of God as exemplified in the Bible and the life experence of each one of us. Indeed, both, biblical men and women and our contemporaries, do ecounter the all pervading violence respect of the covenant and unconditional love. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The Author first discusses the main objection raised today against the first article of the Creed, i.e. the belief in God the Father almighty: God the Father as the projection of megalomaniac desire, a relic of the patriarchal era, an inadequate response to the scandal of evil in the world. In the second part, he attempts to formulate a more relevant expression by stressing God,s presence in the suffering of the world. As a result, God the Father is not above the cross of Jesus; he is himself under the sign of the cross. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Pluralism has become an element of the life context of our time. The interreligious context of Asia adds t othis a further set of complications. Religious fundamentalism which maintains one`s own religion as the only true one, and communalism, which abuses religion as a political force, make religion an element of social conflict. Communicating the faith in such a context is really a challenge. The author explores that challenge in different stages and at different levels. He starts with a presentation of the multi-religious context of Asia. Secondly, he sees what is involved in living the Christian faith in such a context. Interreligious dialogue is an integral dimension of the life and mission of the Christian . has a richer and a wider connotation in such a context, which has been articulated by Asian theologians in terms of the Kingdom and of the Chu rch as its symbol and servant. He then reflects on the ways in which faith is communicated in such a situation, with special references to the role of the school and of the educator. He looks at the obstacles that are characteristic of such a situation. He finally suggests that, since the christian school in a multi-religious milieu is likely to have students of other religions, the Christian educator has also a responsibility to educate them in the faith. |
