| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The Christian theology of religions reflects on the nature and function of other religious traditions in the light of Christian faith in the salvific action of God in Jesus Christ. The three main approaches to the theology of religions are exclusivism, inclusivism and pluralism. While exclusivisme focuses on the mediator of God`s salvific will (Jesus christ), inclusivism focuses on the concrete mediation of the same will. Pluralism interprets God`s universal, salvific will in terms of the shared goal of the religious traditions. The most significant difference between the three approaches would seem to be their willingness to loosen the bond between God`s universal, salvific will and the concrete religious history of humanity. Hence, exclusivism operates with a avery circumscribed definition of salvation history, while inclusivism develops a comprehensive ad unified vision which embraces the whole religious history of makind. Prularism espouses diversity, but must therefore struggle to identify the specific content of salvation history and religious practice. It seems to the author that inclusivism is the most successful in reconciling belief in God`s universal salvific will with the claim that He is actively involved in concrete human history. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | At the end of the twentieth century, it is a real challenge forthe catechist to speak about God`s providnce. It is true that the idea is present in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, in the Catechetical Diretory, or in theological publications, but an enormous work has to be ndertaken if we want to rightly value the theme of Providence. The catechetical structure Life Awareness-Interpretation-Celebration can offer a good starting points as it takes into consideration today`s life, human experience, and the biblical message. The practical example of a catechesis for the sacrament of confirmation shows which challengesmust be undertaken if we want to ideal adequately with the theme of Providence. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The topic of the angels is hardly discussed among protesant theologians. The theology of he reformed Churces has gradually distanced itself from the angels, due to the need to concentrate everything on Christ. Martin Luthe however had a great foodness for the angels. Later, with the coming of enlightenment, many protestant theologians spoke about the need for demthologizing. The angels- and the whole world of miracles-have been relegated to the margins. The article shows how much the figure of the angel is present in both Testaments and draws a brief ypology of angels (choirs and heavenly armies; messenger and interpreters; the angel of the Lord). In conclusion, the author makes an appeal for a return of the angel, especially as a figure of the invisible dimensions of creation. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Astrology has become one of he religions of our time. Its success is inscribed in the tremendous tidak wave of divination and soothsaying in today`s society. Moreover, one can see here the vector of an influenial trend: the New Age. Astrology goes back a long way, as we can see from the ancient Sumerian civilisation (in today`s Iraq). It was then linked with astronomy. Today, the two areas are separated. One can accurately place astrology among the various forms of soothsaying, even if some people see it more as a kind of science. Hence it becomes imperative to ask the opinion of scientist, and they all agree on the non-influence of the stars. In the light of the Word of God, the Church calls the believers avoid astrologers and diviner. The topic is challenging and very much part of our cultural world. Should we not hear in these aspirations a call to ``enchant`` again our prayer and our preaching? |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The City of Quebec is filled with various institutions possessing a very rich religious heritage. For he past ten years, the Corporation du patrimoine et u Tourisme Religieux du Quebec (CPTRQ) has been contributing to the promotion of this heritage in different ways. Some of these include organizing guided tours that are offered to the numerous visitors who each year pass through Old Quebec One of these tours explains the significance of the angelic world for the Christian faith as compared with New Age beliefs. It tries to illustrate this theology through the paintings, sculptures and stained glass windows of our churches. Guided tours or spiritual experiences? Could`t these tours be included among the ew ways of presenting the christian message in today`s world? |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | ``I`ve found sign in the skies``. In a time when transcendence seems to disappear from the social landscape, the use of the signs of the zodiac to understad oneself is fashionable. In the old days, the zodiacal calendar would regulate religious and social life. Integrated in the liturgical calendar, it would give huma life and the four seasons a place in the cycle of Redemption. Today, people turn to the zodiac in a completely individualistic fashion. Each one interrogates the silent constellation which speaks louder than ever in popular weeklies. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Three characteristics are distinctive of modern societies: globalization and a feeling of powerlessness in the face of blind economic forces; undue valorization of the individual which leads to behaviour of the fusional type; a keen sense of justice and human rights. Rooted in the deeds and words of the man from Nazareth, Christian hope can mobilize new strength. With reference to the prior gift of God the creator, hope allows one to act in a limited but nevertheless effective way, in the expectation of the coming Kingdom. Linked with faith and charity, hope gives a structure to Christian living: it invites us to live in the world with joy and efficacy, in spite of precariousness, for this world constitutes the premises of the life to come which is communion with the triune God. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | All human beings at one time or another turn towards the stars. What does the Bible say about the stars, the asteroids, astrology? After giving a brief overview of the history of the question (astronomy precended astrology!), the artile offers first a survey of the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings to show the newness of biblical prophecy, and studies afterwards the texts of the New Testament, especially the star of the Magi and the book of Revelation. The whole bible speaks about the God of the covenant, the Creator of the Stars, and not about Chaldean astrology or heavenly bodies. As the Latin motto says, Astra inclinant, non necessitant! |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | the current craze for the Johannine Apocalypse expresses the search for a key to interpret our checkered history, as much today as in the time of John. does the future of humankind lie in the stars of here on earth with its labours and confrontations? As someone living the eperience of heaven and earth, John answers with the image of the new Jerusalem. It comes from above and is built here on earth. Today is the favourable time to engender and celebrate the new heavens and the new earth. For the seer of Patmos, the Christian must at the same time contemplate the heavens andthe new earth. For the seer at Patmos, the Christian must at the same time contemplate the heavens and renew the earth. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | To be in love is literally an ``extra-ordinary``experience. Such an experience is beyond rational analysis. Should we leave it to poetry alone to speak about love? But nether poetry, nor analysis can have the last word. The article discusses what it means to be in love, drawing from psychoanalysis but without itself to Freud`s insights. Narcissism, i.e. love for one`s own image, is important in the love experience but love is also an out going phenomenon. One speaks about loss of self, dependence, regression, but one cannot overlook the restoring and regenerating power of love. Many data play their pat in the genesis of love: the imaginary and the real, the ideal and the instinctive, the internal and the external. Love is basically narcissistic, yet opens fully to the recognition of the other. |
