| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The article is a revised and abriged version of a paper presented at the Second Latin-American Catechetical Week (Caracas, September 1994). In the first part, the author draws a sketch of the Jewish Palestinian society of the first century A.D., a very complex and stratified society. The second part replaces the practice of Jesus in such a context, showing the newness of the Good News: Jesus takes the life and culture of the poor as his starting point to proclaim the Kingdom. The author can thus show, in the third part, how Jesus can become a model for an inculturated catechesis. |

The article speaks about those human faces and lives, their shadows and lights, a living testimony of people who try to let the Gospel illuminate their life. We chose a text, says the author, work it over with our own method and share our discoveries. With wonder, we discover true richness, the richness of cultural differences and of the exchange of gifts, richness of the heart and of sharing, richness of justice and brotherhood, at all cost. Getting close to the Gospel in this way, from now on, we can have a taste of the Etenity of God. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Psychoanalytical reading of the Bible is an interpretative reading which should not be reduced to applying a body of analytical concepts. A psychoanalytical reading of the Bible generates meaning and leads to a personal interpretation and resources giving appropriation of the text. Such a reading implies accceptance of real work process by the reader. Such a reading builds up on other methods but always requires personal implication. The article uses such a method to discuss the parable of the two sons in the Gospel of Luke (Lk15: 11-32) talking as akey the explicit opposition dead-alive and lost-found. Among other points, this interpretation shows how the two sonsa are cought up in a figure of the idealized father leading to a dead-end and how the unfolding of the figure of the perfect father can give place to genuine fatherhood, after a number of changes among the different actors have taken place. The parable of Jesus questions my own desire while at the same time reveals the loving desire of the Father. It is an invitation to go over from possessive jealously to the gratuitous love of the Father. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The title of this article does not refer to an equation to be solved by computer wizard theologians but to a language of our time, a language accessible to all. Interactive multimedia means a ``book`` whose pages are video screens offering the reader/viewer images, texts and sounds (words and music) in which the spectator can intervene by choosing one of the many options offered or by creating new possibilities. The article presents and discusses three forms of interactivity and examines at which conditions these new tools can be use not only for information but also for education. Such a programme has been used for rerilious education classes as shown by the example of a High School in Wavre where the teachers proposed a multi-media programme on the Gospel of Mark, illustrating the theme of the year on ``the meaning of life``. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | One written on the artistic value of the Negro Spirituals but not enough on their theology. The article takes the Negro Spirituals as an example of a popular appropriation of the Holy Scriptures in a given context, black slavery in XIX th century America. This appropriation or ``contextualisation`` has been made through the analogy of situation between Bible events and displaced Negroes in given biblical narratives like the Exodus or the raising of Lazarus and some emblematic figures three points: the use of the Bible in the Spirituals is a good exampleof contextualisation of Scripture; the Spirituals give us a reading of history from the point of view of the losers; interpretation of Scripture is not the monopoly of the scholars but should remain a community activity. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | the article presents and discusses the relevan scriptural data about a question which has been the subject of much debate for the last twenty years: priestly ministry for women. After recalling briefly the recent documents of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, the author shows that, in the primitive church as exemplified in the Pauline letters, women held apostolic ministries and that on the basis of the Gospel testimony one can detect their emergence in the attitude of the historical Jesus. The resurrection events led to important steps in the development of the practice. To conclude, the author raises a few questions regarding the practice of the Chuch today: is the apostolic character of some ministries, specially pastoral ministries entrusted to women, given due recogniition? |

A few significant omissions, underlined by the author, raise questions. References to women, both in the Old and in the New Testament, are surprisingly asent. The example of so many forgotten women in the Mass Lecionary raises the question of the criteria for choice. For which reasons do Catholics neve, or rarely, hear about the midwives Shiphrah ad Puah, the prophetess Mirian or Deborah, Huldah, Hannah, or the heroic women Judith and Esther, the wisdom and abilities of the ``good wife``, the Magnificat of Mary, the woman who anointed the head of Jesus, or the lay co-workers of Jesus and the apostles, such as Joanna or Susanna, Priscilla, Tabitha, Lydia, and the apparition of Jesus to Mary Magdalene in the garden? |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Because of School Laws in the 1880s, all religious education programmes were banned from the State Schools in France. At the initiative of two women, Marguerite Sorin and Miss Aubineau, an Association was set up, the Euvre des Catechismes, thus maintaining the statu quo concerning the teaching of religion in schools but leading to the development of a movement of great importance. At the time, the lady catechists were considered as auxiliaries of the clergy but in reality they did more than just teach catechism by heart. It was a christian witness along with the beginning of christian formation in Sacred Scripture and Morals. In the 1930s, reforms took place, specially thanks to the efforts of two remarkable lady catechists, Marie Fargues ad FRancoise Derkenne. Women catechists in FRance came into being as a response to the enforcement of secular ideas in the State schols atthe end of the XIX^th century. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The Apostle Paul has a strong reputation for being misogynous. However it is necessary to have a closer look at the authentic Pauline letters, to focus on the women mentioned by name-about twenty of them-and to analyze the three main texts were Paul speaks about women (Gal 3;1 Cor 7 and 11). We then get a more balanced view. Paul`s women disciples share with Paul the proclamation of the Word and the apostolic labour. The line of Paul`s thinking leads towards equality for all believers, men and women. The article also consider a few texts from the Pauline tradition and concludes with reflections and challenges for today, inviting the churches to have renewed consideration for the women who are ``working hard in the Lord``. |
