Abstraksi Narasi : Norbert Lohfink and Karl Rahner`s conversations about death took a special form. Lohfink had written a commentary on Qoheleth (Wurzburg, 1980) and because the knew that Rahner loved Qoheleth he gave him a copy. From that time on, says Lohfink, they never met but that Rahner didn`t immediately and without prompting begin speaking about Qoheleth.

Nama Pengarang : -
Nama Majalah/Jurnal : Theology Digest
Volume / Nomor Edisi : -
Nomor Halaman : 211-215
Abstraksi Narasi : While episcopal conferences are not a divine institution and are not identical with the apostolic college, they are a historical expression of the church`s conciliar nature. With papal primacy they express the cephalous-synodal dialectic that has been operative in the church from earliest times.

Nama Pengarang : -
Nama Majalah/Jurnal : Theology Digest
Volume / Nomor Edisi : -
Nomor Halaman : 232-235
Abstraksi Narasi : The church`s contribution to the fight for justice and freedom in the Philippines was, says Fausto Gomez, very positive, even commendable. An extraordinary situation called for extraordinary political action and involvement from people at all levels of Philippine society (including bishops, priests and religious). However, now that the revolution is over, bishops, priests and religious should return to their primary mission of being servants and stewards of God`s mysteries.

Nama Pengarang : -
Nama Majalah/Jurnal : Theology Digest
Volume / Nomor Edisi : -
Nomor Halaman : 219-225
Abstraksi Narasi : In this article, written in honor of Rudolf Bultmann`s 100th birthday, Karl Wolfgang Troger says that Christian gnosticism was not merely exterior to early Christianity. Rather, it co-determined and urged it on. Though it had to be combatted, Cristian gnosticism contributed much to the development of early Christianity.

Catholicity and Catholicism

Nama Pengarang : Avery Dulles, S.J., Karl-Wolfgang Troger, Fausto Gomez, Barth, Karl, Congar, Yves, Lohfink, Norbert, Griffiths, Bede, Ida Raming, Iris Muller, John Rona, Werner H. Schmidt
Nama Majalah/Jurnal : Theology Digest
Volume / Nomor Edisi : -
Nomor Halaman : 203-207
Abstraksi Narasi : Lutherans are commonly viewed not as Catholic but as Protestant. On the other hand, says Avery Dulles, even Philip Melanchthon called the Augsburg Confession a ``catholic`` document (Apology 14,3). But whether Catholic or Protestant, both communities face essentially the same problem: making the institutions better manifest those qualities that should always mark Christ`s church: one, holy, catholic and apostolic.

Nama Pengarang : -
Nama Majalah/Jurnal : Theology Digest
Volume / Nomor Edisi : -
Nomor Halaman : 149-153
Abstraksi Narasi : In 1981, the German bishops recommended ``to resume the practice of the ordination of deaconesses which was exercised in some portions of the early church.`` Though Rome`s reaction to this recommendation has been negligible, Herbert Frohnhofen considers the discussion worthwhile. After tracing the history of women deacons through the church`s (East and West) first six centuries, Frohnhofen concludes that charism, not sexual differences, should be the decisive criterion for ordination to the diaconate.
