| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The purpose of this study was to know the implementation of skill apprenticeship in small industry of blacksmith. The data were collected from the participants in Gedog Wetan, Turen, Malang, using observation and interviews. A qualitative analysis was used to analyze the data. The finding shows that apprentice skills consist of four levels, i.e. basic, part-time, advanced, and master. In this program, tutors and labourers are the learners and participants. The initiatives for joining in the program come using multimethods and media, including motivation. The learning outcome is measured by achivement evaluation focussed on motoric-skill aspects. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | The role of teachers in isolated remote areas is very important in empowering local human resources. Human character building was partly related to teacher`s performance. The teacher`s performance in conducting their responsibility depends on the quality of their socialeconomic conditions. To improve their spirit on daily educational activities, they should be treated by a special management. It means that there must be an equilibrium between career and economic-life and between their right and their responsibility. To implement this concept, all of related institutions should be involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating phases. These institutions are local community, universities, school, and other institutions belonging to local governments. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | This qualitative study was an attempt to identify the problems impeding the implementation of educational approach and to look for suggestions to enlighten and empower approaches to two subsystems of education. Data were collected by in-depth interview and observation in Semarang Municipality. The results show that the system, curriculum, means, learning-teaching strategy, and environment are the crucial factors in the educational management. The suggestions offered are that institutional cooperation is needed, an integrated approach involving the school and out of school education institutions must be enhanced, network of information have to be intertwined, and the Ki Hadjar Dewantara`s approach model ought to be socialized and disseminated to all of the two field of education. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | This study was designed to know the use of printed media in teaching Social Studies. It involved 15 teachers of 5th grade of elementary school and focused on their strategy on unitizing a printed media. The data were collected by interview, questionnaire, and observation, and were then analyzed statistically by percentages. The finding shows that the teachers utilize textbooks, newspaper, magazines, and pictures in their instructions. The process includes planning implementation, and evaluation of media utilization. |

| Abstraksi Narasi | : | Students` comprehension on the functional limit concept of one real variable is still low, whereas the limit concept is the main basis in learning calculus further. Therefore, a teaching is needed to improve the students` comprehension on the concept mentioned above. This action research was designed to improve students` comprehension on the concept through the implementation of cooperative model of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD). The result shows that, this model can increase students` comprehension on the functional limit concept of one real veriable. |

In education, satellite communication could be used for long-distance learning as implemented by 13 state universities in easternparts of Indonesia. | Abstraksi Narasi | : | The meaning of relialibility is discussed in contrast to the meaning of validity. While validity of language assessment results refers to the degree of correctness of representation of the language skill being assessed, reliability of language skill assessment results refers to the degree of preciseness of the representation of the languagge skill being assessed. The farther the language skills assessment result deviates from the actual level of the skill being assessed, the bigger the error is, and the lower the reliability of the language skills assessment is. Estimating reliability means collecting evidence of consistency. |

Thus, the idea that prescriptivism is "out of date" as well as "not permissive to language change" is corrected by presenting some arguments of the need to maintain its application. Some of those are related to language testing, language environment, size of foreign language classess and text books. |
