Abstrak : Studies examining the manufacturing practices using Total Quality Management (TQM) and the management accounting system designs that interactively affected performance became an interesting area of research for many years. TQM was a technique that was frequently used by manufacturing companies in order to improve the company s effectiveness through perform ace. The management accounting system designs used in this study were performance measurement system and the reward system as the moderating variables. Data of the study was collected via mail survey to managers. This study used 47 respondens of managers from various functional departments of manufacturing companies listed in the capital market directory 1999. Data was analyzed using multiple regression model. Further analysis showed that there were positive effects of the TQM techniques as well as the performance measurement system and reward system on the managerial performance. The results of this study supported previous studies 'finding that high performance can be achieved if the TQM manufacturing practices were employed along with the moderating variables, i. e. the performance measurement system and reward system.

PENGARUH PENGOLAHAN DENGAN WETLAND TANAMAN, KOAGULASI, SEDIMENTASI, FILTRASI TERHADAP KADAR COD, TSS, DETERJEN, FOSFAT LIMBAH CAIR LAUNDRY "X" DI BADEGAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak : he development of a laundry business is rife in _ Bantu/ at this time. Laundry X in Bantu/ Badegan produces considerable waste and contaminates the environment. Preliminary test in May 2011 to the laundry X wastewater samples in Badegan Bantu/ showed levels of Chemixal Oxygen Demand {COD} 1300 mg IL, Total Suspended Solid {TSS} 525 mg IL, Detergent 11.2 mg IL, and Phosphate 43 mg IL. These levels exceeded the threshold limit value {TLV} established in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region No. 65 of 1999, so processing needed to be done. Waste water treatment at laundry X in Badegan Bantu/ in this study was conducted using wetland plants, coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration. The wetland used Iris plants. Coagulation was applied using alum and lime. The first phase of the study was a laboratory one, and the second phase on the field was conducted by building a wastewater treatment plant or WWTP. This study aimed to determine the effect of treatment with wetland plants, coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration to the concentration of COD, TSS, Detergent and Phosphate from the liquid waste of Laundry X in Ba deg an Bantu/. This type of research was experimental, with the designs of Pre and Post Test using Test Control Group Design. Wastewater samples was taken seven times by Grab Sampling method, both at the treatment group and the control group to find the median of the measured parameters. The survey results revealed a decline in the average COD concentration of 1822.88 mg IL to 281.91 mg IL {84,53,1%}, the average TSS concentration of 546.86 mg IL to 58.14 mg IL {89 , 37%), the average detergent level from 11.11 mg IL to 1.14 mg IL {89.81%), and the average phosphate /eve/ from 50.79 mg IL to 1.82 mg I l {96, 41%}. Multivariate ANOVA test showed results of significant effects on the levels of COD (p = 0.044), Detergent (p = 0.000), and Phosphate (P = 0.03), and on the other hand showed no significant effect on the levels ofTSS (p = 0.074). The conclusion of this study is that after processing, the levels of TSS, Detergents, and Phosphates already meet the defined quality standards requirements, while the COD levels have not met the established quality standards requirements. For further study, it is better to examine the efficiency of each tub by taking laundry wastewater at the inlet and outlet tubs of iris wetland plants, coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration.

INDEKS KERENTANAN SEISMIK BERDASARKAN MIKROTREMOR PADA SETIAP SATUAN BENTUKLAHAN DI ZONA GRABEN BANTUL DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak : Bantul area is tectonically one of the active earthquake regions in Indonesia. Bantu/ earthquake which took place on May 27, 2006 (Mw 6.4) caused severe damage in Bantu/ Graben zone. This study aims to: (1) determine the characteristics of the seismic vulnerability index on each landform unit in Bantu/ Graben zone, and (2) determine the spatial distribution of seismic vulnerability index based on the approach of landform units in Bantu/ Graben zone. This study uses a spatial approach to landform unit as the unit of analysis. Microtremor data retrieval is conducted using purposive sampling proportional technique. Microtremor data are analyzed using the method of Horizontal to Vertical Spectrum Ratio (HVSR). Research results are discused and analyzed using spatial, quantitative, and qualitative analysis. The results showed that the average value of the seismic vulnerability index based on the microtremor of each landform unit changes following landform units. The average value of the seismic vulnerability index was the highest in Plain land/arm unit of Fluviovulkanik Young Merapi (Kg = 8.5). The lowest average value of the seismic vulnerability index is located at the Structural Hills Jandform unit of Sentolo Formation (Kg= 0.1). Distribution areas which are more vulnerable due to local seismic site effects in Bantu/ Graben zone are located on the fluvial, volcanic, aeoliomarin, denudasional, and fluviomarin origin landform units. Distribution of less vulnerably seismic areas are located on originally structural Jandform units. Some factors affecting the seismic vulnerability index in this study are the type of materials that compose the landforms_, sediment thickness, and depth of groundwater.

SISTEM HEKSA BILAH KOMPOSIT PLTB 400 WATT

Abstrak : The wind power generation (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu, PLTB) with capacity of 400 Watt with horizontal shaft was installed on the nacelle at 6 m height from land surface. The system employed 6 fiber composite blades (hexa-b/ades). The composite blade was designed to enable producing electrical energy at wind rated speed between 4 to 5 m/s. The blade construction has radius length of 0, 70 m, twist angle of 2,33° at the tip section and gradually increases up to 27,92° at the distance of 0,1 m from the root section. At the root section, the blades were connected to hub section by means of 2 counter lock screws to avoid any possible failure during service. The blade configuration was hollow space (monolithic structure) to provide lightweight structure and durability during rotation safely at variety of wind speed up to 15 m/s. The blades were manufactured by utilizing synthetic resin system and fiberglass to optimize production cost and material availability domestically. The applied fiber arrangement regularly show benefit of dimensional stability and durability for expected period service within 15 years through variety of environment temperature and change of dry and wet season.

Abstrak : Bureaucracy reformation which is being implemented in Indonesia covers many realms, one of them is transperancy. The existance of Law No. 14/2008 (UU KIP) becomes a hope of transparency enactment of governmental functioning in Indonesia. This paper aims to describe the planning of the empowerment of Documentation and Information Management Officer (PPID)of Bantu/ Regency in the framework of KIP and the supporting and constraining factors in the plannning. Research method is descriptive qualitative. The planning of the PPID empowerment in the framework of KIP in Bantu/ Regency has not formulated optimally. Supporting factors are regulations, IT infrastructure, budget, NGO, and the existance of Information Commission of DIY Province. Constraining factors are the absence of detail indicators of planning target, weak coordination, lack of socialization, human resources, and the weak implementation of KIP by local governments in DIY

Abstrak : Groundwater is a non-renewable resource, which means it cannot be reproduced quickly. The development of residential areas allows pollution from domestic sewage, and thus the existence of ground water that has quantity and quality suitable for consumption will be more limited. Groundwater contamination can come from many aspects, such as the influence of geomorphology, lithology, geology, climate, and land use. Pollution will be higher at porous areas as this factor affects the speed of groundwater flow and distribution. This problem can be a serious threat in the future since the ever increasing population growth will automatically increase the need for water. Meanwhile, the existing groundwater contamination will lead to depletion of water reserves and it will potentially lead to water insecurity. Effort to be made to address this problem is performing an integrated monitoring, which is supported by the analysis of the characteristics of the aquifer, to know the potential distributive and quantitative contamination. The results of the research show that the development of coastal areas causes land conversion of natural land to developed land. This condition is followed by the emergence of pollution from domestic sewage and waste from the farm. Water quality classification by the method of STORET shows water pollution from mild to moderate conditions. 9 out of 10 samples studied belong to mildly contaminated class and one sample belongs to medium class of contamination. The most common pollutants are phosphate, fecal coli, and total coliform. Hydrostratigraphy studies indicate the presence of local aquifer formations with the dominant direction of groundwater flow from the north toward the south.

Abstrak : E-commerce has been extended recently into the mobile ecommerce (m-commerce) in an aim to reach consumers using mobile devices. With the availability of the technology, the number of consumers using such devices has increased significantly nowadays. In this paper, a development of an online bookstore system is elaborated. The system is built using the Wireless Application Protocol (W AP) technology. It consists of a module for customers to preview and order books as well as a module for administrator to update information needed. The system is developed using some software including MySQL, PHP, HTML, WML, Dreamweaver MX 2004, and Adobe Photoshop CS2.

One is an application for the server side and the other is an application for the client side. In the application reported here, the client side is developed using the J2ME technology and the server side is based on the PHP language programming combined with MySQL as the database system and Apache Web Server as the web server.

Abstrak : Communication is an important part of people life. The way to do communication has been influenced greatly by the development of technology. There are a number of technologies have been implemented for communication including handy talkey (HT), telephone and internet with email facilities. However, those technologies have not been comprehensive enough in fulfilling people needs. Nowadays, a relatively new invention known as Instant Messaging Service (IM) has been intensively used by internet users. It provides various services to ensure that communication can be conducted easily. Therefore, the applicative research reported here focuses on developing an IM application which is called as INF-messenger. The application is installed on the http://inf.uajy.ac.id website. The INFmessenger is designed using a Java based object oriented software development tool and involves client/server architecture combined with socket communication. It also utilises Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) to access user's data in a MySQL database.

A network analysis application can help users to schedule unplanned network so that it can be arranged accurately based on all possibilities that can occur during the process which can involve the calculation of the correlation between activities conducted and working hours, tools/machinery installed and raw material used. By implementing the network analysis method into the application, the data or information involved can be processed fast and accurately so that information can be provided effectively and efficiently.
