| Abstrak | : | Basically, transmission line is resistive, inductive, and capacitive. That will determine the quality of transmission in current or data passing. The quality of the dimension value above can be counted by differential equation, Laplace transform, and hyperbolic us trigonometric identity. This shows the transmission line as an electric circuit. |

| Abstrak | : | Stepper motor is a dielectric motor that can be controlled with discrete input. it has a good accuracy and precision. lherefvre, stepper motor is widely used in some equipments, such as disk drive in our computer, plotter, robotics, and other control projects. J'he controlling <?/'stepper motor is implemented in Visual Basic 6 language. f'his paper discusses how to use Visual Basic to control two stepper motors that are connected to parallel port, and uses some optical sensors to measure the actual output of those stepper motors, including direction, degree and the amount of motion. |

| Abstrak | : | Each material always has residual stress which is resulted from some factors, for example temperature changed, forming and stre11gthe11i11g. Pipe forming through rolling causes pull stress and temperature change. This will produce residual stress after pipe.forming finishes. Maximum residual stress resulted from bending momem in pipe is different depending 011 the pipe thickness. Thick pipe has maximum residual stress greater than thin pipe. |

| Abstrak | : | This paper is aimed at getting the stream function, a form of fluid flow, in a space. Stream function is the simplified and modified form ofNavier-Stokes equation. Using the boundary value of the space and discretization, we can calculate stream function distribution in the ,,;pace. |

| Abstrak | : | Natural convection, radiation and conduction heat transfer in wall with fins attached to the heated surface is experimentally studied The goal of this research is to find out the effect of thermal emissivity of wall to reduce heat losses by convection and radiation from the warm wall to environment. Emissivity is defined us the ratio of the total energy emitted by a surface to the total energy emitted by a black surface at the same temperature The wall and the fins were made of cast iron with five varsations of thermal emissivity (Qi 0.2.0.4, 0.5 and 0.7), its thermal conductivity data taken from literature was k 73 W (m K) the dimension of the wall was 150-on lugh. 80-mm wide. and 5-mm thick cast iron wall with 10-mm tong. 4-mm thick horizontal fins attached to the wall by tron ghee and placed at 14-mun intervals. A heat source was used tur impose a constant heat flux which could be varied from about 200 to 800 W m² Temperatures variotus points and heat thx by convection at the back were measured and colendated The result of the research is that heat losses by convection and radiation from the warm wall to environment will decrease as thermal emissivity of wall increased |

| Abstrak | : | This article discusses the Gauss Seidel method used to find out temperature distribution on the cube solid with Dirichlet condition on all of walls. It shows (1) the influence of temperature variation on boundary condition for the number of iteration for convergent (2) the influence of temperature initial value for the number of iteration for convergent. |

| Abstrak | : | A classic trajectory optimization problem involves a watercraft crossing a river with a constant current flow. As long as the current speed is not too fast, the craft can make it directly across by pointing its nose upstream at the proper angle. If the current velocity depends on position, the problem is solved by using the calculus of variation. However, these optimal trajectories do not take into account the relevant constraints for a human-powered watercraft, which should include fatigue, and limited power. In this article, we consider two situations with analytical solutions. First, the current is constant but the watercraft speed is a decaying function of time specified by two parameters. Under certain conditions, we find the crossing conditions analytically, and compare them to perturbative and numerical solutions. Second, we study the possibility of crossing a zone where the current speed is larger than the watercraft maximum speed. In addition to their practical importance in coastal sailing or sea kayaking, the mathematical methods used in this article are very general and provide students the opportunity to develop skills in modeling real-world physical systems. |

| Abstrak | : | A set of hands-on laboratory activities are described that allow students to visualize theoretical and observed ocean surface wave behavior through both an analytical model (MATLAB  ?, Python, or R) and a physical model (wave tank). For the analytical model, students write code to visualize the linear superposition of waves and plot the dispersion relation and its shallow- and deep-water approximations to explore the dependence of wave speed on water depth and wavelength. For the physical model, students generate propagating and standing waves in a plexiglass wave tank and compare them to the theoretical equations. Students are often impressed at how well the theory predicts the wave properties in the tank. Additional activities may include: (1) watching the groundbreaking 1967 film Waves Across the Pacific as a guided introduction to the concept of global wave energy propagation; (2) doing pencil-and-paper derivations of the dispersion relation and the deep- and shallow-water wave approximations; and (3) going outside to observe waves in action. The authors have implemented these activities in undergraduate physics, physical oceanography, and general oceanography courses. |
