Abstrak : The arrangement of computer network and communication system which more spread in whole of world is called network designing and its result is network design. One of the models which can be used to get network design is digraph. The problem to determine an optimal design network based on some certain parameter of efficiencies (i.e. time and cost), by using digraph, can be translated to the problem determining optimal digraph which have some certain parameters (i.e. diameter and degree). One of optimal digraph developed for last years is Almost Moore Digraph, denoted by (d,k)-digraph, where d is number neighbors (degree) of a vertex in (d,k)-digraph and k is diameter of (d,k)-digraph. By study of literature, this paper will present the problem of existence and enumeration of (d,k)-digraph. Having studied, we propose two open problems must be solved.

Withdrawal of fluid trough a submerged line sink from a threelayer fluid under the effects of both gravity and surface tension at infinite Froude numbers

Abstrak : The problem of fluid withdrawal through a submerged line sink from a three-layer fluid, incorporating the effects of both gravity and surface tension at infinite Froude numbers, is considered. Assuming irrotational, steady and ideal fluid flow, the boundary integral equations, which are based on the Riemann Hilbert technique for mixed boundary value problems of an analytical function, are derived and solved numerically for infinite Froude numbers on each free surface and for different values of the Weber number. In order to obtain the free surface profiles with surface tension, and for which there are no waves, the Weber number is set to be greater than zero then the grid size on the free surface is taken to exceed the wave length. It is found that there exist solutions for a small range of positive values of the Weber numbers and the position of the sink and the cusp attachment points are limited to a small region of the flow domain. However, despite the effect of the surface tension being small, it has a very significant effect on the free surface profiles.

Ammonium removal using a sequenching batch reactor

Abstrak : A bench scale sequenching batch reactor (SBR) was used for biological nitrogen removal. Seed activated sludge from an activated sludge process treating industrial waste water was treated for oxic and anoxic phase prior to use in the reactor. The SBR was fed media with 50 ppm ammonium and operated on a cycle consisting of the following phases : 10-min fill, oxic, anoxic, 12-min draw. Glucose was used as carbon source. The hydraulic retention time for the reactor was 34 minutes. The work was undertaken to look at the effect of oxic and anoxic cycle time for nitrogen removal. The results showed that percent total nitrogen removal for 5h: 3 h; 4h: 4 h and 4h: 5h oxic to anoxic cycle time were 65.29 %, 80.37% and 54.08 % respectively.

PVT data correlation of pure polystyrene using copolymer SAFT equation of state

Abstrak : For the first time, copolymer SAFT is applied to correlate PVT data of pure polystyrene. Good correlation is obtained, while reconciliation with parameters fitted from mixture phase equilibrium does not work. The results suggest that SAFT is the appropriate equation of state to make the correlation, though further modeling modification is still needed.

Abstrak : Both wavelet packets (WP) dan coxine packets (CP) have recently emerged as powerful tools for signal compression, particularly in areas of still image and video compression. The time-frequeny analysis using CP and WP algorithm are presented along with the results of compression numbers for ECG data. The entropy-base criterion and optimal pruning algorithm are used to choose the best tree basis of CP and WP. The figure of phase time-frequency) plane, basis tree, decomposition process and compression numbers plotted is to compare the localisation performance of CP and WP.
