| Abstrak | : | Concerning some restrictions in public medical services, some simple alternatives could be offered in medical support empowerment to increase doctor service level efficiency or public empowerment in medical activities generally Suppose we discover in detail about Indonesian citizenship structure (similar with other developing countries), we will find that the biggest proportion is citizen aged in child aged (from 0 to 12 years). Base on this, design and construction of a Decision Support System (DSS) for Pediatric is proper to be done. This DSS is proposed to be a supporting peripheral for doctors, medical representatives, medical students or parents with some considerations This Pediatrics Decision Support Systems is composed with consideration on ROMC (Representation. Operation, Memory Aids and Control Mechanism) and Herative approaches This research use mediu al diagnosis model on pediatric diseases classification based on type and its symptoms First input for this DSS is actual symptoms which are suffered by the children From this input, we might get the list of alternatives diseases which is suspected Second output must be given by user av a confidence level which illustrate how big user confidence about conformity of actual symptoms with clinical or laboratory symptoms which should be occur Result of this phase is rank of diseases diagnosed. Output of this wastem is a suspected disease including its recovery and health treatment procedures for children This procedure covers pharmaceutical detail diet recommendation and therapy needed |

| Abstrak | : | A distance relay for the transmission lines protection is usually designed on fixed setting range. If the impedance of the transmission lines to he protected is not on the impedance setting range of the distance relay, the relay could not be used. It is purposed the use of backpropagation neural network as a pattern recognizer for distance relay in fault detection by recognizing pattern of voltage an current wave forms. The principle of backpropagation neural network in distance relay is mapping to recognize volhage and current wave forms. Backpropagation neural network is trained supervisely by implementing Generalized Delta Rule algorithm (GDR) to recognize the pattern of voltage and current wave forms of the transmission line in a faulted condition by applying phase voltage and current as the inputs. The output of backpropagation neural network in this opplication is tripino trip decision. If the mapping result in values between 0.5-1.0. the distance relay should send a trip signal to the CB. The distance relay should not send a trip signal result in values between 0.0-0.49. |

This system use thematic maps analysis with overlay method, that applying computer technology to present earth sight information. The input thematic maps are degree of slope, sensibility of soil erosion and daily rates rainfall intensity, that contains geogropical data as spatial data. This data presented in grids as pixel that form the map image at the matrix area. | Abstrak | : | Remote controlling or monitoring is an alternative for people requiring flexibility for controlling or monitoring devices from arbitrary locations. An example for this application is remote controlling via telephone. Another example is using Web and Internet media to control remote devices. This research aims to develop a web application using Java programming language to monitor devices remotely. In this case, the parameters to be monitored include states of target lamps, temperature and light intensity of target rooms. The steps to be carried out in this research are literature reviews, designing, developing. testing and calibration the electronic system, writing codes for the microcontroller. Other activities included serial communication testing using hyperterminal and Serial Demo from Java and writing and testing the application programs including a web-based client application. |

| Abstrak | : | This research studies optimization of replacement based on opportunity for short life cycle system with two-dimensional warranty. System failure during warranty is modeled using the one-dimensional point process formulation where the usage is modeled as a function of time. The opportunity comes randomly and it is modeled as a homogeneous Poisson process with as a parameter. System failure during warranty and after warranty is restored by minimal repair. During the time between the occurrence of opportunity and the time instant of replacement, the user may incur penalty cost due to the delay of replacement. Decision variable for this research is S. which describes an optimum operating time. Optimum value of S (S) is attained by minimizing expected cost per replacement period. | Abstrak | : | The focus of this paper is developing the control strategy on aldehyde distillation column The objective are maintain the consistency of product's composition, energy saving and cost effective. The method is replacing control structure from inferential control to cascade control with LV structure, without replacing and addition instrumentation hardware. Analizer replace by soft sensor to improve performance, reduce cost and increase reliability. The disturbance given by change mole flow rate of feed. Cascade control with LV structure purposed to minimize Internal Absolute Error (IAE) and increase energy efficiency. The result of this research shown that cacscade control with LV structure has lower Integral Absolute Error (IAE) compare to inferential control structure, improved product composition consistency, increase energy efficiency. |

| Abstrak | : | Clamp-on ammeters operate based on magnetic field induction, not connected electrically to the measured circuits. This instrument can measure and be removed without disconnecting the circuits. Thus, the reading on their measurements is affected by some factors outside themselves. This research investigated some external factors those may affect the reading of clamp-on ammeter. The external factors were conductor cross-section, insulating size and material, type of load, metal cubicles and other circuit existences for various current magnitudes. The differences of reading were obtained by comparing the clamp-on ammeter measurement results to those the conventional ammeter. From external factors, the largest influence was existence of other circuit line that pass by the clamp. The difference of reading had variation, depend on the flowing current. Whereas the second largest was presence of cubicle cover the clamp, where the difference of reading hod variation, depend on the size of cubicle. The less of cubicle, the larger of difference of reading While the influences of other external factors were relatively low, belem 10%, with the reference on reading of conventional ammeter |
