| Abstrak | : | atchouli (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) produces an essential oil called patchouli oil. Main constituents of patchouli oil that acts as antibacterial are patchouli alcohol and pogostone. Studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of patchouli against various species of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Its mechanism of action is targeting penicillin-binding proteins (PBP), dihydrofolate synthetase (DHPS), dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), DNA gyrase, and RNA polymerase that are required in biosynthesis of various bacterial structures. |

| Abstrak | : | Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV are interconnected and often lead to TB-HIV co-infection. TB-HIV co-infection is often underdiagnosed because the symptoms of TB infection in PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) are not specific. Preliminary examinations include sputum examination, rapid examination, and chest x-ray examination. Patients diagnosed with TB and HIV should be treated promptly with TB drugs continued by ARV therapy. |

| Abstrak | : | The development of bioinformatics science is a consequence of the massive data generation of laboratory experiments conducted by molecular biology and biomedical researchers. In addition to the development of a centralized database that is the core competence of bioinformatics science, other computing approaches such as machine learning are also developed so that the data can be processed into useful information for the human health. This review will examine the development of machine learning approaches in bioinformatics science, and its application to the human health, especially in cancer and virus informatics. The future of medical applications with bioinformatics science is exciting as it involves various new approaches such as artificial intelligence and system biology. |

| Abstrak | : | Cloud based-electronic medical record (cloud based-EMR) has been developing in Indonesia. These services have some benefits such as lower costs, more user-friendly features, potential for data sharing, and support to clinical decision-making. Nevertheless, the implementation has implicationsin ethical and legal issues such as data and network security, cloud service provider, data sharing procedures, and medical privacy. Indonesia has no specific regulation on EMR or cloud-based EMR. EMR and cloud based-EMR regulation are needed so that its implementation does not contradict with Indonesian ethics and laws. |

| Abstrak | : | The Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome (HGPS) is a rare genetic disease that causes an early accelerated aging in children; clinically characterized by manifestations affecting the skin, musculoskeletal system and blood vessels, also other features supporting aging processes. This disease affects 1 in 4 - 8 million newborns all over the world without any race and gender preferences. The clinical features of HGPS usually appear at the age of two and will be discovered through clinical diagnosis. It then will be followed by health problems like coronary atherosclerosis that can be life-threatening. The life-span is usually 14,6 years. This review will discuss some emerging potential treatment such as FTI (Farnesyltransferase inhibitors). |

| Abstrak | : | Aging is the biggest risk factor for most of the age-related chronic diseases, which carried a heavy health-care costs burden worldwide. These age-related diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, type 2 diabetes, and osteoarthritis, shared common mechanisms that associate with aging, such as chronic sterile low grade inflammation, cellular senescence, DNA damages, and stem cells dysfunctions. In this review, we will first discussed the dietary manipulation, such as caloric restriction as the mean of delaying aging, and we will also review nutraceuticals or natural compounds, and pharmaceutical drugs as the mean for intervention of aging. |

| Abstrak | : | Biological medicines are medicines that are made or derived from a biological source and as such are complex molecules, with inherent variability in their structure. A biosimilar medicine is a biological medicine which is highly similar to another biological medicine already licensed for use. It is a biological medicine which has been shown not to have any clinically meaningful differences from the originator biological medicine in terms of quality, safety, and efficacy based on a comprehensive comparability exercise. Biologic products are widely used in treatment for neutropenia, cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and enzyme or hormone deficiencies. |

| Abstrak | : | Reconstruction of diabetic foot ulcer poses as problem in primary care. Clinical and experimental studies showed the effects of NPWT (negative pressure wound therapy)in enhancing wound healing through increasing local blood flow and granulation process, and decreasing bacteria colonization. This article discussed three cases of diabetic ulcers managed satisfactorily with NPWT. |

| Abstrak | : | Ventricular tachycardia (VT) most commonly occurs in structural heart disease, associated with increased risk of sudden death. The most common cause is myocardial scar from prior infarct. More benign forms occur in the absence of structural heart disease. Treatment involves both emergency management and prevention of recurrence with antiarrhythmic drugs and device therapy. Appropriately selected patients may be candidates for implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. Catheter ablation may also be an option. |
