| Abstrak | : | Febrile seizure is the most frequent neurological disorder in childhood. Some studies report association between anemia and febrile seizure. Even though anemia is highly prevalent in Indonesia, only one study assessed this association. Objective. To compare the hemoglobin level in children with febrile seizure and febrile children without seizure, and to assess the relationship between anemia and febrile seizure. Method. This retrospective case control study used medical record of febrile children aged 6 months to 3 years old hospitalized at Landak General Hospital from May 2016 to April 2017. Hemoglobin level from first blood workup then compared between fifty children with first-time febrile seizure (case group) and a hundred febrile children without seizure (control group). Results.Hemoglobin level was lower in case group compared to control group (p =0.000). Children with febrile seizure were more likely to be anemic compared to febrile children without seizure [OR 6.73 with 95% CI 3.18 to 14.26]. Conclusion. There is significant difference of mean hemoglobin among children with febrile seizure compared to febrile children without seizure. Children with febrile seizure were six times more likely to have anemia. |

| Abstrak | : | Vitiligo has potential psychosocial impact on patients. There is currently no therapy to treat vitiligo, but many options are available to treat vitiligo lesions. No single therapy can produce good results in all patients; many treatment options are topical treatments, oral treatments, light therapy, surgical therapy, psychological therapy, and complementary therapies. Increasing research and knowledge on vitiligo patomechanism including relation with oxidative stress, skin blood flow, or a cytokine-mediated mechanisms neuropeptides lead to newly developed topical agents to induce pigmentation. |

| Abstrak | : | The purpose of this study was to determine the stability of daily blood glucose level, satiety level, and safety after using Diabetasol® in comparison with controlled nutrition solid food. Diabetasol® is low glycemic index foods contained of isomaltulose, resistant dextrin, and inulin. This study is a preliminary, prospective, randomized, open-ended study, and involving 30 male and female type 2 DM subjects. Blood glucose was measured with continuous glucose monitoring within 48 hours after every visit. The satiety level was measured with satiety quotient questionnaire with visual analog scale (VAS) at interval of 0, 15, 30, 60, and 120 minutes. The evaluation of side effects was based on the occurrence of hypoglycemia and digestive problems during the treatment period. Eventhough not stastistically significant, Diabetasol® leads to decreased glycemic response and longer satiety compared to controlled nutrition solid foods, with no serious side effects. |

| Abstrak | : | Trans Urethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) as a gold standard treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is performed with fluid irrigation that may cause electrolyte disturbance due to excessive fluid absorption; and may lead to increased mortality. This study is to determine the incidence of electrolyte disturbances and risk factors in TURP procedure. Materials&Methods.A descriptive retrospective study was conducted at Bhayangkara Hospital Mataram in January 2014-January 2016. The subjects were all BPH patients who underwent TURP surgery. Data were retrieved from medical records. All TURP procedures used distilled water as irrigation fluid. Presurgery and postsurgery electrolyte level, digital rectal grading and weight of resection tissue were recorded. Deranged electrolyte was defined as presence of any or both serum sodium < 130 or > 145 mmol/L and serum potassium <3,5 or > 5,5 mmol/L. Student’s T-test was applied to determine significant change between pre and post surgery variables. Results. Of 32 subjects, the mean age was 63.39 years and the mean weight of resected tissue was 63.03 grams. Sodium, potassium, chloride, and hemoglobin level were decreased post surgery (mean reduction 2.00, p = 0.000; 0.25, p = 0.000 ; 27.81, p = 0.021;1.050, p = 0.025, respectively). In 10 subjects, only significant decreased serum chloride and hemoglobin were found (mean reduction 4.5, p = 0.017; 1.46, p = 0.048, respectively). Sodium and potassium serum level were significantly decreased in non deranged electrolyte group (mean reduction 1.8, p = 0.01; 0.27, p = 0.00, respectively). No significant correlation between electrolyte imbalance with age and digital rectal examination grading. Conclusion.Electrolyte serum levels were significantly decreased after TURP procedure. |

| Abstrak | : | Hyperuricemiain cancer patients increases mortality, especially in advanced phase. Methods: An observational analytic correlative study with cross-sectionaldesign on correlation between uric acid level and cancer stage incolorectalcancer patients. Subjects were 35 colorectal cancer patient, which are15 male and 20 female colorectalcancer patients treated at RSUP Mohammad Hoesin(RSMH). Stage ofcolorectalcancer based onhistopathologyexamination in Anatomy Pathology Laboratory of RSMH/Medical Faculty of Sriwijaya University, Palembang. Serum uric acid level was measured in Biochemistry Laboratory of Medical Faculty of Sriwijaya University. Results: The cancer stage of the patients were stage II (17.1%), stage III(48.6%), and stage IV(34.3%). The mean uric acid levels were 11.8±3.5 mg/dL. Approximately 88.6% of colorectal cancer patients havehyperuricemia. The mean level of uric acid in patients with earlystage colorectalcancer was 10.6 mg/dL, in patients with end-stagecolorectalcancer was 12.3 mg/dL. The correlation between uric acid levels andcolorectalcancer stage was very weak (r=0.072) and was not significant (p=0.647). C onclusion: Hyperuricemiaoccurs in almost all colorectalcancer patients. Uric acid level did not correlate withcolorectalcancer stage. |

| Abstrak | : | This paper examines supervisors’ target setting decisions following managerial turnover, an event largely overlooked in prior studies. Specifically, we test whether regional supervisors use discretion to assign different target levels to new managers compared to those who remain in their business unit. Moreover, we investigate whether the use of past performance and peer performance information in supervisors’ target revisions is sensitive to managerial turnover. Using field data from 113 nursing homes of a large elderly care provider over a three-year period, we provide evidence that supervisors assign relatively lower targets to new managers. Additionally, our results show that, overall, supervisors rely on past and peer performance information to a similar extent when revising targets for new managers, with a more lenient approach if new managers underperform. Our findings suggest that current knowledge about target setting may be incomplete, as supervisors may treat new managers differently. | Abstrak | : | Many organizations, including for-profit firms, seek to support a social mission. This study experimentally examines how superiors’ value congruence and compensation scheme affect superiors’ target-setting decisions in social mission organizations. We predict and find that more value-congruent superiors set higher targets for their subordinates than less value-congruent superiors to motivate their subordinates to advance the organization’s social mission. We also find that superiors set higher targets for their subordinates when compensated with performance-based pay rather than a fixed wage. We highlight the importance of superiors’ value congruence with the organization’s social initiatives and compensation scheme on their target-setting decisions. Organizations with social initiatives or that are apt to adopt such initiatives should consider our findings when developing formal controls, as superiors’ value congruence with the social mission and their compensation structure can affect the targets they set for their subordinates.
